dc.description.abstractAn outline is given of a simplified approach to the theory of transient convective heat transfer. Analytical solutions for some cases of substantial interest in surface heat transfer coefficient measurement are obtained. Comparisons with results of previous workers indicate that this new approach leads to exact solutions.en_AU
