dc.description.abstract | The Generation IV International Forum (GIF) was established to carry out the R&D required to meet the feasibility and performance capabilities of the next generation of nuclear energy systems. The goal is for Gen IV reactors to excel in safety, sustainability, economics and proliferation resistance. In June 2016, Australia, with ANSTO as the implementing agent, became the 14th member of GIF. ANSTO brings to GIF world class R&D capabilities, particularly in advanced nuclear materials, radiation damage assessment, safety case development and reactor modelling. | en_AU |
