Abstract
A transmission electron microscopy study if the defect structure in neutron irradiated zirconium has shown the existence of mixed vacancy/interstitial dislocation loop populations with a/3 <1120> Burgers vectors. The absence of c component dislocation loops indicates clearly that the Buckley model for irradiation growth in neutron irradiated zirconium is invalid.
