dc.description.abstractSimultaneous quantitative PIXE/PIFME analysis provided since 1990 characteristic, often unexpectedly, information on the trace element composition of quartz associated with different types of orebodies. Because of the restricted availability of quartz for many types of ore deposits the analytical technique was extended to include acid leached rock-pulps consisting of quartz with minor sericite and feldspar.en_AU
