Abstract
Radioisotopes tracers have been applied in Australia since the early 1950's to a wide range of industrial and environmental problems. A number of key projects are described, A development of a commercial service through the Tracerco Australasia joint venture is outlined. The challenges and opportunities facing tracer technology in the modern industrial era are examined.
