dc.description.abstractSurface ionisation mass spectrometers are commonly used to provide accurate isotopic abundance measurements of solid samples. In this report the method of mass scan control is described, together with the data logging system. Included as well are a description of the relevant parts in the PDP-8/L program, instructions for communication with the computer by the operator and the computer interface circuit diagrams.en_AU
