Abstract
Mixed perovskite samples, Ca1−xSrxTiO3, produced as solid ceramic materials, have been characterized using dynamic modulus and internal friction. These provide evidence for structural instabilities which have then been studied in detail using high-resolution neutron diffraction at particular temperatures using selected samples. Structural refinements indicate a low-temperature structural distortion to an orthorhombic Pbcm structure doubled along the c-axis. Details of the results and their analysis are presented and discussed in relation to other literature data for these mixed perovskite systems. © 2006 Elsevier B.V.
