Title: Detection of traces of oxygen in gases: methylene blue method.
Authors: Davis, PS
Issue Date: Mar-1958
Publisher: Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation
Abstract: A simple method for the detection of traces of oxygen in gas streams is described. The method is based on the colour change which occurs when leuco-methylene blue is oxidised to methylene blue. Suggested uses of the method are in argon-arc welding and glove-box work where oxygen must be excluded.
