Preparation of thin targets of 239Pu, 233U and 235U by the method of electrospraying

Abstract

The preparation of thin uniform targets of 239Pu, 233U and 235U by the method of electrospraying is described. The technique has established advantages over other methods of target preparation for example high deposition efficiency ease of recovery of unused material and simplicity of operation. These targets are used for neutron-induced fission experiments.
