Abstract

The energy spectrum of neutrons emitted from a thick lithium target bombarded by protons has been measured as a function of neutron angle of emission. The measurements were done at proton energies up to 2.8 MeV and at 30 deg. intervals in the range 0 to 120 deg. using proportional detectors with gas fillings of hydrogen and methane. A review is given of papers published on the 7Li(pn)7Be reactions at 0 deg.; where applicable comparisons are made with the present results.
