    An on-line computer system for a mass spectrometer

    Surface ionisation mass spectrometers are commonly used to provide accurate isotopic abundance measurements of solid samples. In this report the method of mass scan control is described, together with the data logging system. Included as well are a description of the relevant parts in the PDP-8/L program, instructions for communication with the computer by the operator and the computer interface circuit diagrams.

    Pulse height analysis using a PDP-15 computer
    (Australian Atomic Energy Commission, 1971-06) Tighe, LE
    The use of a PDP-15 computer in a pulse height analysis system is described. Both the analogue-to-digital converter and the cathode ray oscilloscope display have direct access to the computer memory and hence the only programming required for their control is the setting up of status words.
