    AAEC implementation of and modifications to release 21.6 of the IBM360 operating system

    This report describes the implementation of and modifications to the IBM360 operating system for release 21.6. The system generated was Multiprogramming with a Variable number of Tasks (MVT) with the Houston Automatic Spooling Program (HASP) if, version 3.1. The report makes extensive reference to the AAEC report on modifications and additions to the IBM360 operating system for release 19.6.

    AEJCL: a JCL syntax checking facility

    AEJCL provides a listing and JCL syntax checking facility on a PDP/9L computer system. The syntax checking system is controlled by a directed graph structure which is initially written in a machine independent language and then translated to PDP/9L code automatically. The input and output sections of the system are handled asynchronously by a multitasking master control program.

    A directed-graph syntax analyser for the ACL-NOVA system.

    The syntax of the ACL language is described in terms of a directed-graph structure which is written in a machine independent language and automatically translated to NOVA assembly language. A syntax analyser based on this directed-graph structure is incorporated into a new version of the ACL-NOVA system to improve the response to terminal input and this, together with a number of other modifications, reduces the size of the system from 6¾K to under 6K words.
