High specific activity cobalt 60 sources, as used in teletherapy work, may be produced in HIFAR. Approximate calculations indicate that a specific activity of 30 curies per gram per year can be made in the 2V and 6V experimental holes, and that a total activity of 21,000 curies per year in these holes corresponds to using 1% excess k.en_AU
